Have you ever wanted to use Imessage on your iphone, ipod touch or ipad but didn’t know how to turn it on?  Well in this tutorial I’m going to show you how to turn it on using the settings app on your particular device.

Tutorial Requirements

All you really need is an ios device like an iphone with the messages app and the settings app.

  1. Tap the settings apphome screen.
  2. Scroll down to the messages preference pain and tap itmessages preference.
  3. to turn iMessage on or off simply slide the on/off switch to on or offmessages settings.
  4. if you want to turn on Send Read Receipts that’s up to you.
  5. if iMessage is unavailable you can enable Send as SMS.
  6. in the Send and Receive preference you add your phone number and any email addresses that you might want to receive messages from.
  7. in the SMS/MMS settings you can enable MMS/group messaging and show the subject field and the character countsms/mms settings.

Tv shows Podcast Introduction

Have you ever wanted to keep a personal recording of your favorite tv shows just so you can throw yourself a marathon on your iPod? 

Hardware requirements

    1. Eyetv hybrid 2010.
    1. set-top box or any video source
    1. iPod
    1. Any up-to-date windows machine you have.

Software Requirements

    1. TeraTech Home Media.
    1. Format Factory.
    1. iTunes.

Instructions

Eyetv-Hybrid to pc connection

Connect the Eyetv hybrid to the windows machine that you own.

Eyetv-Hybrid to video source connection

Connect the Eyetv hybrid to any video source be it satellite cable or antenna.

Setup a new recording in Teratech home media

To set up a recording in the main window of TeraTech Home Cinema click on the recordings link and select new.

set the start and end time

Set the time for the start of the show, then set the time for the end of the show.

Click done to add to the recording schedule

Click done and the recording will be added to the recording schedule.

Wait until the recording is done

Wait until your recording is done, depending on if your computer cooperates with you and the length of the show.

Open Format Factory

When your recording is done open up Format Factory.

Select all to the mobile device in the video tab

In Format Factory go to the video tab and select all to the mobile device.

Select the recording appropriate device

Select the device appropriate for your recording then click ok.

Add the recording to Format Factory

In the next dialogue, click add file then navigate and navigate to where TeraTech Home Cinema stuck your recording.

OK

Click OK.

Start the conversion process

Back in the main window select the file you added earlier and click start to start the conversion process.

Add the converted Tv shows to iTunes

Once it’s done converting which will take a while open up iTunes then add the tv show you recorded and converted earlier.

Let iTunes sync your Tv shows to your iPod

Attach your iPod to your computer and wait for iTunes to do its thing.

Once your Tv shows are on your iPod test them out

Test out your recording to see if it worked.

There you have it your own recording(for personal use of course), converting, and syncing system. You can use this to record the TV shows you’re into.

Requirements

Hardware

  • either a mac running bootcamp or a virtual machine or a windows machine

 

 

Software

    • Format Factory

 

  • itunes

 

 

Tutorial Content

Obtain a video for conversion

First, you’ll need to obtain a video to convert to iPod that is either on your mac running windows or your pc running windows.

Open Format Factory

Then open up Format Factory and open the video you want to convert.

select video and format suitable for iphone

Once you do that select the video then select the format that best suits your iPhone.

Click convert

As mentioned in the DVD Backup Tutorial click convert and go get something to drink.

Open iTunes

Once the video is done converting open up iTunes.

Choose how the video is added to iTunes

Do one of the following:
go to the File menu select Add File To Library and navigate to the folder where the file is stored
 
simply drag the file into iTunes and if you have the Keep Media folder organized and Copy files to the media folder when adding to the library checked iTunes will automatically copy the video into the media folder and organize it into the appropriate folder.

Attach iPhone

Once you have the converted video in iTunes attach your iPhone to either your Windows machine or mac running windows on Bootcamp or virtualizing windows.

Well there’s hope for you yet. in this tutorial I’ll show you my secret weapon for scaring your friends and family on Scare Tactics just by making a simple post on the Scare Tactics Facebook page.On this show the scaring is done by pros do not I repeat do not copy them.

Requirements

The only things you’ll need are:

  1. A Facebook account
  2. and a like to the Scare Tactics Facebook page

Instructions

  1. If you don’t have a Facebook Profile sign up for one but if you have a Facebook profile login to it.
  2. Like the Scare Tactics Facebook page. You have to do this in order to set someone up on the show that’s in your Facebook Friends list.
  3. Wait for the magic question “If you signed your friends up to be on Scare Tactics, what kind of prank would you play on them?”.
  4. Choose a friend you wanna to see get the ever living daylights scared out of them. Say for the purposes of this tutorial I picked either Kelsey Black, Shannon McGrath, Katelyn Burgess or Derek Jamal Berta they’d be scared of learning that I set them up on Scare Tactics.
  5. Post the name of your friend on the Scare Tactics Facebook page.

Tutorial Requirements

a DVD of your choice like The Avengers

MakeMKV

Handbreak

A mac machine

an iPod/ipad

itunes

difficulty: very straight forward

This tutorial is for dvd backup and syncing to your apple device for later personal use

Insert a DVD you want to backup and sync to your ipod/ipad

Open up MakeMKV open the source disk select the title to backup and start the backup

open up handbrake select the file you created previously and select the device to convert for.

Click convert and just go get something to drink.

Once your dvd is done converting to the specified apple devices file format, open up itunes and add the newly converted video file to your library.

to sync the video as a TV show you’ll have to change it’s media kind to TV show, but if you’re syncing a movie leave it as a movie.

To sync the TV show/movie you backed up simply connect your ipod/ipad to your mac and itunes will go though the steps of syncing your ipod/ipad from prepping it for syncing to actually syncing it
